Explore the heart behind the WWJ book series and movement

“He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Personal Journey

Meet the Author

Chris has a deep-rooted commitment to biblical studies and sharing with others what he has learned from Scripture over the past ten years. His writing is skillfully presented in a thoughtful, understandable way that resonates with his readers. His occasional rhyming wordplay titles and lines make for entertaining reading. Chris offers his readers more than his well-crafted WWJ reflections, his vision is for a WWJ movement of committed Christians focused on walking with Jesus by bringing Christ’s light and love into the hearts of all whom they come into contact with throughout their day, every day.

As with many of our journeys in life, Chris’ travels have come with many challenges, including a visual disability. He is a purpose-driven individual, always thinking of his work as a form of ministry. As an advocate for social justice, he worked as a full-time volunteer from 1989-1991 with the United Farm Workers of America in New York City. Chris’ need to make a difference in people’s lives motivated him to establish the non-profit, The National Association for Males with Eating Disorders, Inc. (NAMED) in 2006 and was its founding director until 2013.

Chris received a B.A. in Philosophy from Wadhams Hall Seminary-College, a Roman Catholic Seminary in Ogdensburg, N.Y. in 1983; and an M.A. in Communication from S.U.N.Y. College at Brockport in 1988.

Chris’ real passion in life began in 2016, when he commenced his biblical self-studies (that included the book of Revelation) and writing monthly spiritual reflections. He sent his reflections under the name, Adventures with God (now, Walking with Jesus) to family and friends.

Chris is currently looking for a publisher for his first book in his Walking with Jesus Series: Walking with Jesus through the Seasons of the Year, a book featuring 52 of his reflections – one for each of the 52 weeks in the year. The other two books needing final edits include: Walking with Jesus through the Old Testament and Walking with Jesus Through the New Testament. The two latter books feature summarized highlights from each book in the Bible.

Getting a book published is a daunting task, since publishers only accept manuscripts that they believe will be a good investment for their company’s profit. For the writer this means, the publisher wants to be confident that he or she has a sizable following of readers as potential buyers for their books. This year, Chris’ goal is to increase his readership-base through his website, social media posts and speaking engagements.

You can help him to reach his goal of obtaining a book deal with a publisher by subscribing to receive his reflections and directing others to this website.

If interested in having Chris as a speaker at your church or other venue, contact him at Chris@WWJesus.com.
